We only offer minor repairs in our office, including water key spring replacement, trombone slide felts, and stuck mouthpiece removal.  We use and recommend the following repair technicians in the Los Angeles area

Robb Stewart - Robb is arguably one of the best brass repair technicians in the world, and we're lucky to have access to his services.  He can be expensive, and large jobs do take some time, but the results are worth it.  The pictures above are from his website.  We use him for dents on newer instruments where there can be no scarring.  He does not disappoint. His shop is in Arcadia. He prefers not to work on trombone slides, but does excellent work when encouraged.

John Sandhagen - John S. is an opinionated, brilliant, eloquently spoken mad genius, and also a fine trombonist.  His specialty is trombone slide repair, and he is one of the best. His shop is in Claremont. We send most of our slide repairs to John.

John Mason - John M. is an expert in all things French horn.  He is in Glendale and is available weekdays and some evenings by appointment.

Bruce Belo - Bruce is our favorite old salt who is regarded as one of the best slide repair men around.  His office is at the Orange County School District offices in Anaheim, and he is available days by appointment only.  Bruce is a saxophonist and does excellent woodwind repair as well.

Kanstul Musical Instruments - Though they do not advertise repairs, Kanstul can do full restorations of many instruments, including dent work, polishing and relacquer and plating work.  Their trombone slide work is passable, but may be second to the quality of the others above.  Other refinish work is excellent.  They are open 730-300 weekdays by appointment.

Mark Atkinson - Mark's custom French horns are some of the finest in the business.  He offers very fair pricing on fixed to screw bell conversions.  He may be able to offer other repairs as his schedule allows.  He has regular weekday hours.  Please call ahead for an appointment.
